Living off grid in the south we totally understand. Fortunately we don’t have y’all’s problems. Hang in there.

I was born in SC and lived in the south for 35 years! It's beautiful there, too. :-)

Fellow Pacific NWesterner here...really enjoyed reading your story and seeing how God led. I feel more hopeful after reading -- when God chooses to open doors, nothing can stop Him. We often feel the human urge to "escape" our insane state, but the safest place to be is where He wants us; we just try to steward what He has blessed us with and be ready and willing to move if/when He says it's the right time. Really appreciate your point that moving to another state to escape is not a guarantee of anything--I've only heard one other person say that. God Bless!

I don't know why I just saw your comment!

I think other states are closer behind us than it seems right now, unfortunately. I don't think there is any "safe space". The agenda is wider than the state level (or even the federal level), although both are complicit in the general direction our country is headed. Have you looked at Joel Skousen's "Strategic Relocation" book? Or his videos? Interesting guy. Anyway, I think the people and culture of a region is more important than the red/blue labels.
